Every Mother Deserves Care
UI/UX
A context page is provided for insight into the problem, followed by the visual design. The bright green represents good health and the vitality of mothers, a reminder of what the project is bringing attention to.

‘Every Mother Deserves Care’ is a Learning Hub course committed to advocacy work amongst healthcare workers on the racial inequities within the maternal and perinatal healthcare system.

Contrasting this with achromatic images of Black mothers and their babies, the heartbreaking reality of their lived experiences is spotlighted for the audience to feel throughout the website. The bold, condensed typeface paired with a sans-serif font secures legibility and impact through the content.
Editorial Stories from Black Mothers

The course includes modules, articles, and stories from Black mothers to educate on related subjects of health equity, including social and racial theories.

It was necessary to consider different levels of education, job status, and age to consider various perspectives to implement in the functionality, interactivity, and content of the website and courses.

While creating the tools, the audience's needs were considered: access to various learning methods and the implementation of theory into practice.
The knowledge and scenario assessments allows for integrative thinking of both analytical and emotional perspectives.

Additionally, Black mothers' stories provide an even greater view of a lived experience that further proves the power and responsibility that healthcare workers hold in the field.

Resources from Professionals
The inclusion of resources from experts is meant to supply further educational materials that is more digestible and interactive through infographics, structured points, conference videos, and blogs.
CASE STUDY
Module Lessons
Every section and feature of the website needed to be considered for healthcare workers who are usually busy with clinical and medical demands. By making each section and information easily accessible, healthcare workers are able to interact easily with the resources.
Module Assessments
It was important to create the modules similar to what the personas are used to. With clear navigation through questions and lessons, the user is able to smoothly transition from section to section.
The implementation of linked and cited sources along with infographics and supporting information was necessary to ensure trust is gained from the target audience, but also guide them to further educational materials.
